It was a nostalgic moment for the Batch of 1985 of the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi as they came together to re-live the memories of their student days at the 25th reunion anniversary. As a part of the 2- day silver jubilee celebrations the corporate honchos interacted with the current batch of students & faculty through panel discussions on "Learning curve beyond FMS... a learning for FMS" and "India Enterpreneuring….Challenges & Opportunities".
FMS has been at the forefront in grooming business leaders who can influence management trends through their thought leadership. The silver jubilee reunion was attended by eminent alumni like Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President, Canon India, Vivek N Gour, Chief Financial Officer of Genpact Limited, Rakesh Bhatia Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, US, Fazle Ali of Indigo Nation fame, Sachin Shridhar , Chairman- Sterlite Industries, Vishal Pandit, Head-Hewitt Consulting, Himanshu Gupta, Commissioner(Service Tax) MOF and many others. The 1985 Alumini arrived from US, Canada, Singapore too.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President, Canon India said, “It is our honor and we cherish the value that FMS has brought to our career. On this landmark occasion, our batch is also pledging to contribute to Child Relief and You (CRY) for the upliftment of underprivileged children." Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mamkoottam, Dean said, that FMS has come a long way in transforming into a globally recognised centre for learning. The challenge ahead for FMS is to build on its legacy of achievement as reflected in corporate luminaries like the Batch of 1985. Such Alumini interactions add immense value to our faculty.
The celebrations ended on an emotional note when the alumni were gifted with a collection of their memories through “Canon’s Photo Book.”
